• MCUB came under purview of Banking Regulation Act of the Reserve Bank of India, in 1972.
   
• MCUB obtained Banking License of Reserve Bank of India, License No : UBD KR 4222 P, in the year 1984.
   
• MCUB is the first Urban Bank placed as Direct Member of Local Clearing House in Kerala.
   
• MCUB introduced the first Evening Branch and the first Ladies Branch in Malappuram District.
